Annual appraisals and professional development reviews start on November 23
The latest round of appraisals and professional development reviews will take place from November 23, 2026 to January 27, 2027. This year will see some changes to the professional development reviews. For those wishing to make a Compro promotion request, the forms will have to be finalized by January 6, 2027.
For this year's campaign, we will be widening the scope of the professional development reviews. We are living through a period of increasing changes to occupations and skills, and in line with new statutory provisions, the Institut Pasteur is adapting its appraisals system to encourage discussions about skills, employability and prospects for professional development.

MAIN POINTS TO REMEMBER
The appraisal campaign applies to all staff at the Institut Pasteur, except for those on fixed-term contracts of less than six months and contract workers. It comprises:
- annual appraisals
- professional development reviews (previously referred to as career development reviews)
- Compro promotion requests for those wishing to apply for a promotion
What's new for 2026?
Annual appraisals will continue as before, with the same purpose: to review the past year and set targets for the year ahead.
Career development reviews are changing and will now be called professional development reviews, with greater emphasis on professional development, skills and career prospects. The frequency of professional development reviews will also be changing in line with the new legal framework.
PRACTICAL DETAILS
- As in previous years, interviews will be based on the online forms available via the Career Portal (Talentsoft).
- The HR Department would encourage managers and their teams to schedule their appraisal interviews well in advance, as soon as the appraisal campaign begins on November 23. We would recommend that you allow enough time for an in-depth discussion: an hour and a half is a good guideline.
- In the event of Compro promotion requests for non-scientific staff or requests to advance from senior technician to engineer status, forms must be approved by January 6, 2027 at the latest.
