Visit from the President of the National Assembly to the Institut Pasteur for World Cancer Day

On February 4, Yaël Braun-Pivet, President of the French National Assembly, came to the Institut Pasteur to mark World Cancer Day. The visit offered a clear signal of support for scientific research and innovation for the benefit of public health, while also highlighting the crucial work of scientists committed to tackling cancer.

The President of the National Assembly was welcomed by Institut Pasteur President Yasmine Belkaid, and the two had the opportunity to speak about the Institut Pasteur, the challenges facing its research and the main hurdles to advancing health. More specifically on the topic of cancer, they discussed how developing a detailed understanding of the underlying biological mechanisms can pave the way for increasingly targeted therapeutic solutions. Following her discussions with Yasmine Belkaid, Yaël Braun-Pivet then met members of the teams in the Cellular Plasticity in Age-Related Pathologies Unit, led by Han Li, and the Decision and Bayesian Computation Unit, led by Jean-Baptiste Masson.
