Technical and biological variations are inherent to all biology experiments. But they are not always effectively managed when designing and performing experiments and analyzing data, and this can lead to results that are not sufficiently robust or reproducible.

This is the aim of the training course "Improving the robustness and reproducibility of experimental results in biology" (ReproPATH*). The idea is to use key principles to identify specific best practices. 

C’est précisément l’objet de la formation ‘’Améliorer la robustesse & la reproductibilité des résultats expérimentaux en biologie (ReproPATH)’’ : partir de quelques principes généraux pour dégager des bonnes pratiques très concrètes.

Directly applicable best practices

The training course, led by Pascal Campagne, Head of STATS in the Bioinformatics & Biostatistics Hub, will guide participants in identifying critical technical aspects when designing an experiment, preventing unwanted bias and effects, and analyzing data in line with experimental design.

Drawing on their own practices, participants will also be encouraged to identify specific procedures and measures to improve the reproducibility of their results.
 

Next session in French: October 7, 8 and 9, 2026 (afternoons)

The next session will be held in French on October 7, 8 and 9, 2026, from 1.30 to 5pm (three half-days).
A session in English is also scheduled for the afternoons of February 3, 4 and 5, 2027.
