Taking inspiration from utopia to conceive inhabitable worlds
What if we stopped searching for solutions for a couple of hours, and instead started imagining the world that we want?

Following the first workshop held during the day-long event entitled "A More Sustainable Institute," two further workshops on "Taking inspiration from utopia to conceive inhabitable worlds," led by François Bontems, are being held for the Institut Pasteur community.
The aim is to step outside the box, turn our usual ways of thinking about problems on their head, and identify new avenues. Drawing on a collective effort based on the imagination, the constraints of the real world and discussions among participants, the workshop will encourage them to explore other possible futures and question things that today seem obvious or unchangeable.
As we live through a period of flux characterized by multiple challenges, not least climate change and societal shifts, these opportunities for interaction are a means of testing a new way of working together on future issues, with the aim of drawing lessons and identifying specific avenues for the Institut Pasteur.
Two sessions are available:
📅Thursday November 5, from 10am to 12 noon
📍Salle Pacifique (Pacifique room)
📅Wednesday December 2, from 10am to 12 noon
📍OMICS Agora

No particular expertise is needed – simply come with your questions, your ideas and a desire to think differently.
