Reminder – Annual campaign: Refund of transport costs
The annual campaign for refunding transport costs, whether through a public transport refund or a sustainable mobility lump sum, will run until March 31, 2026. You must choose your refund option online.
The campaign has been under way since March 10 on the HR FAQ & Forms platform.
Those eligible for a refund must complete the signed statement online and choose one of the available options.
In accordance with article L3261-2 of the French Labor Code, employers cover part of the costs of public transport used to travel between home and work. At the Institut Pasteur:
- 75% of public transport costs* have been covered since 2024, more than the legal minimum of 50%.
- A sustainable mobility lump sum of €21 per month (a total of €252 per year) was introduced in 2022 for staff who travel to work by bicycle or personal scooter (traditional or electric).
The two options cannot be combined.
How it works
The two options are available to all staff members who have an employment contract with the Institut Pasteur (a permanent, fixed-term, dual-education or work-study contract) and to interns, with no minimum service requirement.
- The refund/lump sum is for travel to the campuses at rue du Docteur Roux and rue de Charenton (Hearing Institute).
- The application must be submitted online by March 31, 2026 at the latest. No retroactive refunds dating back more than two months will be accepted.
