Pink October: awareness and action for breast cancer prevention

Every year, the national “Pink October” campaign—led since 1994 by the Ruban Rose association—highlights the importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer. At the Pasteur Institute, this awareness month is an opportunity to provide Pasteur Institute staff with useful information and resources.

A direct line to facilitate appointments

As has been successfully the case for the past three years, the Duroc medical imaging center is providing the Institut Pasteur's women staff with a direct line to facilitate appointments for mammograms: +33 (0)1 47 34 93 30 – 104 rue de Rennes, 75006 Paris.

Resources to acquire information and deepen understanding

The ePasteur page of the Occupational Health and Prevention Department dedicated to Pink October provides the content and resources that were available for the previous editions.

These include the video of the workshop on breast cancer screening and genetic risks held last year with Dr. Chloé Dratwa, a radiologist specializing in medical imaging for women, and Antoine de Pauw, a genetic counselor at the Institut Curie.

Please feel free to check it out.

You can also watch a recording of the workshop “Physical Activity for Prevention and Throughout the Breast Cancer Care Journey” with Jocelyne Rolland, a physical therapist and patron of the network of breast cancer physical therapists.
