131st issue of the "Lettre de l'Institut Pasteur" out now: "How understanding the immune system can help us age better"
The latest issue of the quarterly newsletter for Institut Pasteur donors – the Lettre de l’Institut Pasteur (LIP) – contains a special report on understanding the links between the immune system and the aging process.
This new issue presents the progress of the "Milieu Intérieur" LabEx on immune aging. People of the same age can often experience widely differing health trajectories, a phenomenon that can be explained to some extent by low-grade chronic inflammation, persistent viral infections and the fact that our biological age is often different from our real age. Research in this field paves the way for a personalized approach to medicine, tailored to each individual's unique immune profile, to help preserve our health as we age.
