Seed Grants: Joint 2026 Seed Grants Retrospective on November 9 and launch of the 2027 call for proposals
As part of the Pasteur 2030 Strategic Plan, the coordinators of scientific priorities 1 (Infectious disease threats), 3 (Origins of diseases) and 4 (Health and diseases at the extremes of life), together with the Department for Scientific Programming and Incentive Actions (SPAIS), are delighted to invite you to a joint symposium celebrating the first outcomes of their respective 2026 Seed Grants calls.
Organized on November 9, 2026, from 1.30 to 5pm, in the François Jacob Auditorium, this event will give the supported young researchers the opportunity to showcase their exploratory projects, share the preliminary results they have generated, and reflect on the impact that this initial funding had on both their research and their career development.
Don’t hesitate to join this symposium to discover how those 2026 Seed Grants have helped young scientists turn bold ideas into exploratory research and paved the way to new research directions, and to benefit from their experience to apply to the 2027 Edition of the Seed Grants calls launched today (see below)!

Launch of the 2027 call for proposals for Seed Grants in the four scientific priorities
The four scientific priorities and the Department for Scientific Programming and Incentive Actions (SPAIS) are launching the 2027 Seed Grants for their research areas. The aim of this internal funding scheme is to encourage collaboration between Institut Pasteur scientists as a means of testing novel research approaches, assessing innovative protocols and acquiring preliminary data to get new projects off the ground.
This latest round of Seed Grants will support exploratory collaborative projects aimed at addressing questions related to the four scientific priorities in the Pasteur 2030 Strategic Plan:
- 1 - Infectious disease threats
- 2 - Environmental transition & health
- 3 - Origins of diseases
- 4 - Health and disease at the extremes of life
Each proposal may receive up to €10,000 in funding for a period lasting between six months and one year.
